Me and Delilah wrote this song in response to the suicide of our good friend Sean Kilby and in memory of all the fallen comrades our community has lost to depression and mental illness. To tell a little of their stories. It's also for the friends we've seen overcome their own battles as well. Take care of your friends and family.
Be kind to each other
Take care of one another
One race one species
One race one species
One race one species
Never judge a book by it’s cover
Never judge a person by their demons
Don’t make your friends and family fight their battles alone
Unity
community
acceptance
compassion
Respect
Everyone has a different breaking point
The thing about breaking point is you can’t see them till they’re already boiling over
Sometimes the most helpful thing is to ask for help and confront the monster with an army instead of the lone warrior.
Erase the stigma, erase the hate, erase marginalized oppression, erase the apathy, erase the pain, erase judgemental segregration of our differences. Such a permanent solution to what is a temporary situation
One race one species
One race one species
One race one species
Mental illness has claimed far too many before their time. In memory of all our fallen comrades. Don’t let it be in vein. Be kind to each other Take care of one another
